“I wanted to write to you and your team after my daughter, Bridie, attended the intermediate intensive last week in Brisbane. You all have again inspired and motivated my daughter beyond measure, ensuring the long trip we make from Mudgee is more than worth the effort.
I am still getting the hang of this dance dad thing and am trying to understand the terminology and so on, but what I do understand is the quality of the instruction that you are able to provide, and the obvious passion you have for what you do. I am a Principal of a school so I know how draining teaching 30 students for a day can be, so to do what you did with 60 students for 11 days straight, and to maintain your enthusiasm (and smile) to the end, is truly remarkable.
The work of your team was also outstanding, and the days (from my end as a parent), went so smoothly. Events such as this require so much work behind the scenes, and your team have done an outstanding job leading up to and during the intensives. It would have been tiring work for the duration, but everyone's friendly nature and genuine care for the kids was amazing. It ensured Bridie was excited to get up and go each day.
The other aspect I enjoyed was being able to watch, and to learn myself about dancing by listening to you and the other guests you had on the days. I feel I can now talk with my daughter about some of the things she does, which is wonderful! It was also fabulous to see the improvement in Bridie over the four days, again a testament to your instruction and guidance. It is clear you have a gift for teaching, and I hope as your business goes from strength to strength, that you are able to continue to teach and inspire these young people. Whether Bridie becomes a dancer or not, you have taught her the value of hard work, persistence, taking risks and learning from failure, as well as being respectful and nice to all people, all things that as a parent I wish for my daughter to learn and develop so she becomes a good person, first and foremost.
So, thank you to you and your team! You have inspired a little girl to continue to work hard to improve her dancing, and helped a novice dance dad along the way!”
